Asbestos Abatement

Once hailed as a “Miracle” mineral, asbestos has been used since the early 1900s for fireproofing, insulation, and sound control. However, when its fibers become airborne, asbestos poses serious health risks, including lung disease and cancer. At ACM Services, our certified team offers comprehensive asbestos inspection, abatement, and disposal services to ensure your home or workplace remains safe and compliant. Our licensed and certified staff handle everything from initial assessment to complete remediation with care, precision, and a commitment to safety.

Don’t leave potential asbestos threats to chance—trust the experts, “we simply take care of it.”

Asbestos Abatement Explained

A consultation is crucial to evaluate suspect asbestos-containing materials, the impact, and practical solutions. Often a third party is required to perform survey and material sampling to confirm the presence of asbestos-containing materials.

A negative pressure containment is a sealed area where air is pulled inwards using HEPA air filtration devices so dust or harmful fibers, like asbestos, don’t become airborne. Each containment will be equipped with a decontamination facility for personnel and items being removed from the containment.

Safely removing asbestos containing materials using engineering controls and compliant work practices. Common ACM materials include floor tiles, mastic,  drywall, or insulation, to prevent harmful asbestos fibers from becoming airborne. Prior to removal from the containment, asbestos waste is sealed in leak-tight containers, labeled and manifested for disposal.

Upon final cleaning a third party industrial hygienist will perform a visual inspection to confirm all materials have been removed and that there is no remaining dust, dirt, or debris.  Once visual inspection has passed, the industrial hygienist will perform final air clearance sampling in compliance with applicable regulations for re-occupancy

Upon achieving final air clearance, the containment is carefully dismantled and all waste is properly disposed of in accordance with regulations.  It is then transported to a licensed facility for proper disposal according to regulations. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a final abatement report including waste manifest and final air clearance results.
